Oklahoma soldiers in Afghanistan prepare not just themselves but their families for the separation during the holiday season. About 200 members of the 120th Engineer Battalion of the Oklahoma National Guard, based in Broken Arrow, will have their own celebrations halfway around the world Thursday and will be sure to contact their families back in the states. "We encourage them to make an extra effort over the holiday season," said Lt. Col.
